Kevin Rian Kevin Rian Kevin Rian

Kevin, a native of Canton, Oh., moved to south Florida with his band Dorian Grey in the early eighties. He quickly became one of the south's premier bass players and landed a position with Jacksonville's own Molly Hatchet. After three years on the road with Molly Hatchet, Kevin decided to make a switch and took a position with Rick Derringer, where he stayed for the next four years.

Being in the "Right place at the right time" is what landed Kevin the duties of bass player for the Pat Travers Band. After a brief jam session with Pat at a local club, Kevin was asked to record "Halfway to Somewhere"

After several European Tours and endless US and Canadian tours, Kevin completed two more studio albums for Pat Travers, "Looking Up" and "Best of the Blues + Live".

Kevin also performs clinics and seminars for DR Strings, Bogart Basses and Tech Sound System. He has taught clinics with such notables as Steve Morse (Dixie Dreggs, Deep Purple), Elliot Easton (The Cars), Frank Gamble (Chick Corea) and Bruce Kulic (Kiss).

Kevin returned to the Rick Derringer Band in early 2002 where he remains in his 'wing'. Currently, Kevin is a member of and is performing with Time Traveller.

Kevin Rian's current endorsements include Bogart Basses, Aria and ESP Guitars and DR Strings. Kevin uses Tech Bass Sound Systems and Ibanez effects.
